Meet the Team: Aaron Lyons – Water Hygiene Technician

We’re excited to introduce one of the friendly faces behind the great work we do here at GMS – Aaron Lyons, one of our dedicated Water Hygiene Technicians, who has been with us for almost a year.

Aaron plays a crucial role in keeping our clients’ water systems safe and compliant. His day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Monthly monitoring
  • Expansion vessel servicing
  • Calorifier servicing
  • TMV servicing
  • Sampling collection
  • Assisting the Mechanical Team with minor remedial works.

His expertise ensures that every site he visits is operating safely and efficiently, making a real difference in health and safety.

For Aaron, the best part of working at GMS is the welcoming and easy-going team culture:

“Everyone is so welcoming – it genuinely feels like a family. From day one, it’s been easy to feel like I belong.”

That sense of belonging is something we take pride in at GMS – where everyone has a place, and everyone makes a difference.

Aaron credits Martin and Ste Spicer as being one of the most positive influences in his journey so far:

“Martin taught me everything I need to know, and Spicer was a huge help when it came to learning the plumbing and mechanical side of the job.”

But the support doesn’t stop there – Aaron appreciates the help and encouragement from the entire team:

“Everyone at GMS has made an impact on me. The managers and admin staff are always just a phone call away, and the other technicians, risk assessors, and plumbers are always there – whether it’s for work or just to talk.”

When he’s not out on site, Aaron loves to stay active. You’ll often find him:

  • Hitting the gym for a workout
  • Taking small hikes with his dog, enjoying the outdoors and recharging

Say hello to Aaron next time you see him – and join us in thanking him for all the great work he does!
