Chlorine Dioxide Disinfections
Chlorine dioxide is a highly effective disinfectant used for water sterilisation, environmental hygiene and industrial water treatment. It offers several advantages over traditional chlorine, particularly in systems where pH levels, ammonia contamination or persistent biofilm can reduce the effectiveness of standard chlorination.
Unlike chlorine, chlorine dioxide does not react with organic materials to form trihalomethanes (THMs) and remains effective across a wide pH range in both hard and soft water. It is also highly potent at low concentrations and can help control both planktonic and sessile bacteria.

Silver Hydrogen Peroxide Disinfections & Continuous Dosing
GMS Services Ltd have been using Silver Hydrogen Peroxide to successfully disinfect and treat domestic hot and cold water systems for many years.
The oxidising agent used is hydrogen peroxide, which is bonded with stabilising agents to form a complex solution. A long-lasting effect is ensured by the addition of silver which acts as a catalyst in trace amounts. The bactericidal effect of silver is based on the fact that the monovalent silver ion binds very firmly to bacterial proteins by a covalent or coordinate bond, and thus inactivates or precipitates these.
Chemical Dosing of Heating and Chilled Systems
