Le Mans Crescent Project!

Major Mechanical Installation Project Underway at Le Mans Crescent, Bolton

We’re proud to be delivering a significant mechanical installation project at Le Mans Crescent in Bolton, and it’s fantastic to see the works progressing well as the building services infrastructure begins to take shape on site.

This phase of the project represents a key milestone in the overall development and includes the installation of a complete new hot and cold water system designed to serve the building efficiently and reliably for years to come.

Scope of Works

Our team is currently undertaking:

  • Installation of a new hot water system, designed to deliver consistent temperature control and performance across the building
  • New cold water distribution throughout the property, ensuring balanced supply and optimal flow rates
  • Full copper pipework distribution across multiple floors, installed to the highest mechanical and aesthetic standards
  • Careful integration with the existing services infrastructure, maintaining system continuity and compliance

From high-level containment routes to the more intricate pipework arrangements within the plant room, precision has been central to every stage of the installation. Attention to detail, alignment, support spacing, insulation preparation, and overall presentation have all been key focuses for our engineers.

Coordination & Compliance

One of the most important aspects of this project has been the coordination required to route new services through an existing structure. Working within established building constraints always presents challenges, but through detailed planning, clear communication, and close collaboration with other contractors on site, the team has ensured that progress remains smooth and compliant.

Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the works has been a priority. All installations are being completed in line with current industry standards and best practice, ensuring both performance and long-term reliability.

A Strong Team Effort

Projects of this scale rely heavily on teamwork and consistent standards. Credit goes to everyone on site for their continued hard work, professionalism, and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.

We look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses and the installation moves into its next phase.

Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs): Understanding TMV2, TMV3 and Your Legal Responsibilities

Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) play a critical role in controlling water temperature and reducing the risk of scalding in both domestic and commercial buildings. In higher-risk environments such as healthcare, care homes and education settings, correct valve selection, installation and ongoing maintenance is not just best practice – it is a legal and moral responsibility…. How Passing TMVs Drive Legionella and Biofilm Formation

Passing TMVs create the exact conditions Legionella bacteria thrive in. The combined effects include: Once temperature control is lost, biofilm rapidly develops on internal pipe surfaces. Biofilm acts as: As biofilm thickens, it further restricts flow, worsening stagnation and creating a self-reinforcing cycle that accelerates colonisation. In many investigations of persistent Legionella positives, passing TMVs… Read more »
