GMS founder & MD announces retirement!

COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce GMS Services Limited founder and Managing Director, Howard Parry , is retiring. It is difficult, if not impossible to think of GMS without Howard, however it is time for Howard to take it easy and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

After 25 years dedication to GMS, Howard is handing the reigns over to Gemma Ollerton and Carl Ollerton M.W.M Soc who are passionate about continuing the GMS name and driving the business forward. Gemma & Carl have had a great mentor in Howard, who has been showing them the ropes handing responsibilities over. Howard will be around until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition of hand over.

Howard took the plunge back in April 1997 and starting his own company and forming GMS Services Limited. We all congratulate Howard on all his achievements. What a journey and 25 1/2 years!

Gemma says:
“Joining GMS in 2000 from sixth form was only meant to be a gap year before I headed to University, however I never quite managed to get to Uni as I really enjoyed working alongside my Dad at GMS. I am proud to have been by Howards side learning from him for the past 22 years. It will be strange to think of not having Howard around, but I am ready for the challenge ahead and I hope I do Howard proud.”

Carl says:
“Howard has showed a remarkable commitment to the company during my time with GMS. He has grown the business from an idea into a recognised leader in the legionella and water hygiene industry. I wish to personally thank Howard for all he has done for me and GMS and wish him an enjoyable and well-deserved retirement.”

Howard says;
“It is with mixed feelings that I will be retiring from GMS after 25 years of working with some of the best in the industry. I would like to thank all our employees past and present for all their efforts that has made our development and growth possible, it has been a pleasure in getting to know you all. There have been some difficult times over the past 25 years but together we have overcome them all, this has made us stronger as an organisation. I have every confidence in Gemma & Carl along with the Management Team that the further growth of the company will be continued whilst maintaining the ethos that was established over 25 years ago. Gemma & Carl know that they have my full support for as long as they feel it is necessary. I wish each and every one of you a long and rewarding employment with GMS, I know you will get the full support of all the Management to assist you to achieve all your ambitions. As Gemma has said I will still be around till the end of the year. Thank you all for making my 25 years at GMS the most enjoyable and rewarding.”

How Passing TMVs Drive Legionella and Biofilm Formation
