GMS Autumn Team Day – Celebrating Teamwork, Wellbeing, and 25 Years of Leadership

On 7th October 2025, the GMS team came together for our Autumn Team Day — the second of our twice-yearly events designed to bring our people together, strengthen our shared values, and celebrate our successes.

The day combined a variety of activities including training sessions, games, a team quiz, and even a few competitive padel matches, all aimed at reinforcing the importance of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement across the business.

A particularly powerful part of the day came from an inspirational talk by Andrew Jenkins, who shared his experiences and insights on mental health and resilience. This sparked open and meaningful discussions among the team about wellbeing and the importance of supporting one another — something that sits at the heart of the GMS culture.

We also took time to recognise some incredible milestones within our team:

  • Steven Spicer and Kevan Green, who both celebrated five years with GMS, marking their continued commitment and professionalism.
  • And a very special celebration for our Managing Director, Gemma Ollerton, who this year marks 25 years leading GMS Services. Gemma’s leadership, vision, and dedication have been instrumental in shaping the company’s journey and continued success.

As always, our Team Day was a fantastic opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, reconnect as a group, and reflect on what makes GMS such a strong and supportive workplace.

At GMS, we believe that investing in our people — through shared learning, open conversation, and a bit of fun along the way — is key to delivering the quality and service our clients expect.

Here’s to another successful year of growth, collaboration, and shared purpose.
