From West Tower to Contour — GMS behind the water systems powering “Manc-hattan”

In 2018, our journey with Renaker’s skyline began at West Tower topping out that year and completing in 2019 — the first piece of the Deansgate Square cluster. Since then, GMS has been trusted to commission every new Renaker tower in Manchester and to keep them performing day-in, day-out with ongoing water hygiene: tank maintenance & sampling, domestic disinfections, closed-system commissioning, and unvented hot water heater servicing. Our decade-strong partnership with MWA Eco Systems has been the constant through it all.

Highlights of the skyline we’ve helped bring online include.

Deansgate Square (West, South, East, North) — completed 2019–2020.

Castle Wharf — completed 2021

Crown Street — C1
• Victoria Residence — completed Nov 2020.
• Elizabeth Tower — completed 2022.

Crown Street Primary School — officially opened 27 Sept 2024.

Crown Street — C2
• The Blade — completed 2023.
• Three60 — completed May 2024.

Colliers Yard (Greengate)
• Cortland at Colliers Yard — completed Sept 2023.
• Bankside — topping-out complete; finishing in 2025.
• Parkside — planning approved Mar 2023 (in pipeline).

Vista River Gardens (Trinity Island) — under construction, targeting late-2025 to early 2026

✨ Why it matters: we don’t just sign buildings off — we safeguard water quality and system performance for residents and operators, from handover to everyday life. That’s commissioning done the GMS way.

Proud to be trusted by MWA and Renaker across Manchester’s most ambitious neighbourhoods. Onwards to Contour and the next chapter.
