Meet Alex Stelmach – Keeping the GMS Engine Running Smoothly

Today on Meet the Team, we’re catching up with the wonderful Alex Stelmach, who plays a crucial role behind the scenes at GMS. With over two years of experience under her belt, Alex has become an essential part of the team—known for her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team spirit.

A Day in the Life

Alex’s role is all about keeping things running like clockwork. She’s the go-to contact for our engineers, ensuring that all LRAs and Service Reports are thoroughly audited and up to standard. On top of that, Alex is often the friendly voice on the end of the phone, assisting both new and existing clients and engineers. It’s a dynamic role that requires both attention to detail and great communication—and Alex delivers every day.

What Makes GMS Special?

For Alex, it’s all about the people. “The best thing about GMS is working in such a helpful, supportive, and fun team,” she says. “The atmosphere in the office is brilliant—and the early Friday finishes aren’t bad either!”

Teamwork That Inspires

When asked who’s had the biggest influence on her journey at GMS, Alex didn’t hesitate: “Maddie.” The two work closely together to meet KPIs and keep everything on track. “She’s always one step ahead and keeps me positive all day. I couldn’t do it without her.”

Office Laughs

While Alex couldn’t pinpoint just one funny moment, it’s clear the office is full of light-hearted banter. “There are always silly jokes and pranks—especially with Maddie and Ste.  It’s all part of what makes the team so great.”

Life Outside of Work

Alex’s proudest achievement is outside the office, being a Mum to 15-month-old daughter, Gia. “I spend most of my spare time with family, creating the best memories,” Alex say. And that love and care shines through in everything Alex brings to her role at GMS.
