TMV Servicing Training Session.

Many thanks to Edward Morris of Altecnic for providing 2 training sessions for some of our field operatives and managers over the last 2 days. The session covered TMVs, installation, commissioning and servicing.
Here is what some of the attendees said.

Ben O’Berg – Contract Manager
I found it interesting and useful. It was good to see and understand the workings of the TMV including how the failsafe works.

Matthew Lowe – Contract Supervisor
I have worked with TMVs for years and felt the course gave me even further knowledge of how the valves work and the techniques we use to service them. It was interesting to learn more about the failsafe techniques and how the input temperatures and flow rate can change how we approach the TMV.

Nik O’Berg – PPM Technician
Ed was a nice guy, made us feel at ease with plenty of interaction.
Great knowledge of the topic we was training on with examples to back this up.

Stephen Parry – Contract Manager
Very informative training session, interactive and presented very well. Enjoyable.

David Williams – PPM Technician
An understating of how TMVs work under various real-life scenarios with multiple examples of the areas covered.

Many thanks Ed. We look forward to working with you and Altecnic again in the near future. This involves the development of our own Thermostatic Mixing Valve Course in the near future.

Why Dirty Water Systems May Show No Detectable Legionella: A Closer Look at Bacterial Dynamics and Mutations

In water hygiene management, it’s not uncommon to encounter heavily contaminated water systems that, despite appearing ideal for Legionella pneumophila proliferation, return negative results for Legionella during microbiological analysis. These situations often raise questions about sampling accuracy, environmental suitability, bacterial competition, and the complex behaviour of microbial communities under stress. High TVC, No Legionella: What’s… Read more »
