Opening your building following COVID closure? Don’t be caught short!

GMS have been strongly advising all our clients regarding water related problems during enforced COVID-19 building closures. We have also been making lots of noise about this on our social media sites.

We have been advising that processes can be put in place to mitigate the risks associated with building closures and what to do if your water system has been left to stagnate during this time.

We have already helped various business put programmes in place to protect staff and visitors to their premises when they have reopened. We have been providing water system disinfection services since 1997 and can provide you with the correct advice and methods of disinfection should you require this services over the coming weeks.

We have noticed an increase in such services being offered by “pop up” organisations and some of the costs being quoted at incredibly high or low. Be sure that you know what organisation you are dealing with. Check if they are a member of the LCA (legionella control association) and check out how long they have been established with companies house. If you are in doubt, refer to the LCA website for a legitimate organisation who should be able to offer the correct advice.

Don be caught short either in the pocket or by the quality of the job!
