Meet Stephen Parry – Contract Manager

Stephen Parry

Position: Contract Manager

Time at GMS: Fourteen years

Stephen says:

“I had an initial period of 3-4 years at GMS and returned in 2012 after working elsewhere. At that point I started as a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) engineer, then I trained as a Legionella risk assessor, qualifying in 2013. In 2018 I was promoted to Operations Supervisor, a role I was in until late 2020, since then I have been promoted to Contracts Manager.

“As Contracts Manager I have been looking after PPM and risk assessment contracts. No two days are the same!!

“Everyone gets along well and there’s a good team spirit.

Leading the field

“GMS has developed for the better over the years – as you would expect in any good business or workplace. The service has always been a priority and our standards are very high.

“We are versatile throughout all aspects of the business and constantly striving to develop further. I would say GMS is now at a point where we are leading the field – in terms of delivery of service, standards and work ethics. Working at GMS is a great experience and my decision to return to the company in 2012 has been justified”.

“To be part of this growing business and seeing / helping it develop is very satisfying. GMS is an excellent place to work, full of decent hard working staff.

“It’s rewarding to feel part of the business and not just another ‘employee’.”
