Meet Martin – PPM Engineer

Length of service as of April 2023 – 12 months

I have been at GMS for around 12 months now and during that time I have been working as a water hygiene engineer.

My day to day tasks are to carry out the planned preventative maintenance side (PPM) taking water temperatures, servicing expansion vessels ,calorifiers, inspecting water tanks and thermostatic mixing valves (TMV’S).

I have really enjoyed my time at GMS and love being out and about everyday covering the different parts of the country, also the support I’ve had from everyone has been fantastic, there’s always someone to speak to if you need any help with anything.

Just in the time I have been here the company seems to go from strength to strength and has moved to a much bigger office space.

Outside of work I like to spend time with my family, I have 3 children. A 20 year old daughter and two teenage sons who both play football so that takes up most of my weekends. I also play 5 aside football myself and enjoy climbing mountains when the boys have no matches.
